May 8, 2021: Fargo
Week 17: Attempting to rest in Fargo and not doing a very good job. I’m really enjoying this small city. Don’t have many pictures for you unfortunately… Mostly just been exploring bars and coffee shops. I finally got to dance though thanks to Josh Melby spinning at Front Street Taproom First time I’ve gotten to dance since last year!!! And enjoy this pic of a cool countertop. Just cuz.
May 14, 2021: Fargo, Billings
Week 18: I was sad to depart Fargo but had a lot of miles to get under my belt. I headed west through North Dakota and Montana. What a BEAUTIFUL country! I stopped in Miles City during a huge rodeo and found that the movies actually portray these small Midwestern towns pretty accurately. Country music. Jesus. Cowboy hats. As far as budget goes my housing and gas are gonna keep increasing as I travel west, especially when I hit Seattle. And now that I’m city hopping everything is going to be more expensive bc I won’t have the efficiency of staying in one place. So it goes…

Week 19, Pt. 1: Montana is so big and so freaking gorgeous. I didn’t set aside nearly enough time to explore this state the way it deserves. I started in Billings, a small city still trying to figure itself out. Most of my time was spent solo hiking up the Rims and soaking in the sun. It was a great place to recharge for the week.

Week 19, Pt. 2: I met this world traveler at a cafe in San Francisco where he helped me get a ride home after my phone had died. 6 years later Jayme Locsin and I finally crossed paths again and spent a crazy awesome weekend exploring Yellowstone National Park! Many pictures to come. Many, many pictures.

Week 19, Pt. 3: SNOW. And then it all melted.
May 30, 2021: Seattle
Week 20: Seattle is surprising in a lot of ways. It’s as if the city and nature grew up together, inextricably entwined. It’s so green! A very nature and people positive place. Plus it’s hard to beat the jagged, snow capped mountains towering on the horizon. I got to see some familiar faces – Adam Daub and Lyndzy Olives! Been missing the east coast EDM crew. Still, idk if Seattle is for me. It’s very dense with cars, trees, houses, plants, and buildings all competing for space. Maybe it’s the trip catching up with me but I could def go for some of that spacious country life right about now.
