Subject:ย Cross Country Trip
April 2, 2021: Pittsburgh
Week 12: Can’t believe I only have one week left in Pittsburgh before I continue my journey west. It’s been made special by the friends I made who helped me out along the way (like with that vaccine!) I was a lucky guest of Wayne Minnicks to an amazing fish fry, got fancy drinks at a jazz bar, and explored more of Pittsburgh which is simultaneously in both spring and winter right now. Gonna be sad to go, just as the city starts to bloom.
April 10, 2021: Pittsburgh, Cincinnati
Week 13: It was bittersweet leaving Pittsburgh behind to continue my journey west. A big thanks to Wayne and my other friends for showing me around! Now I’m hanging in Cincinnati with my sister Marilyn. As expected I exploded my budget this month In the “Misc.” category are that sexy leather skirt, the new rotors I had to put on the SUV, and a birthday ticket to fly my boyfriend out to Louisville with me next weekend
Much more state hopping to come!
April 16, 2021: Louisville
Week 14: Finished up a great visit with Marilyn and Andrew in Cincinnati. This is one of the only times you’ll ever get to see me hold a baby xD Then it was off to Louisville with my boyfriend!ย The city seemed to be hit super hard by covid but people are finding their fun in new corners of the city… Even if it’s not our type of fun. Not pictured – a 2.5hr zipline tour of the Louisville Mega Cave!
April 24, 2021: Fort Wayne
Week 15: While Fort Wayne is certainly not the most exciting city, I’ve always been fond of its spacious layout and unique charm. I went to a brewery and played (and lost to) students in the university chess club. Managed to run myself lost in a strictly grid based neighborhood. Hung out with my team and other coworkers. And last but not least, I improved my juggling! Now off to Madison to see Robin Lartin-Drakeย Also, WHY IS IT SNOWING
April 30, 2021: Madison, Minneapolis, Fargo
Week 16: Had a great visit with Robin Lartin-Drake in Wisconsin, where the dog parks are bigger and nicer than your people parks. I continued to run away from the impending cicada plague with a brief stop in Minneapolis before continuing on to Fargo. I watched the movie Fargo in Fargo. … Fargo.
